The lowest-priced Plymouth in 1957 and 1958 was the Plaza. In 1959 it was the Savoy. For American Plymouths, the standard six was the 230-cid flathead six for all three years. In Canada the six was the 251-cid unit. In 1957 the standard V8 was the 277-cid unit in the Plaza with the 301-cid V8 optional. In Canada the V8 was the 303. For 1958 and 1959, the standard V8 was the 318 in the U.S. and the 313 in Canada. The optional V8 engine in the U.S. was the 350 in 1958 and the 361 in 1959. The standard transmission was the 3-speed, column shift. The 2-speed Powerflite was optional on all engines while the 3-speed Torqueflite was available only with a V8 engine. With owning a Le Baron , the very basic Plymouth do's interest me. I am not looking at the suburban or convert models for these particular years though.Plus what came as standard from the factory !
