Hi Guys, Just had to chime in. Not sure if all of you realize it or not, but we are talking about the final 'missing' 70 Hemicuda convertible. Only 9 were manufactured for US consumption, and 2 were sold abroad. This was the only one not accounted for. It is the only one that was white with a red interior (extremely rare in any muscle vintage Mopar, much less this car) it was all ORIGINAL with matching number, etc. The only rarer Hemi Convertible is a 70 Hemi Coronet RT, and there are only 2 of those. One destroyed and one in the Otis Chandler collection. These HemiCudas, when restored, have sold for well into the high 6 figures, and to be honest, the price paid was not that extravagant considering what we are talking about. Look at guys paying $1,000,000+ for a 'real' AC Cobras and 30's vintage Duesenburgs, and they were much more abundant! Of course, I still think the guy is nuts, but hey, if that's what trips your trigger. Why else would anyone buy/restore any old car? But I though you guys may want to put all of this into perspective. Just my pennies, Charles.
