I want to thank everyone for your responses to my transmission/Engine question. I ended up leaving the torque converter attached to the engine. It just seemed like the easiest way to go. In that I pulled the engine and transmission together, and the body is off the car, it went well. Now, when it comes time to put it back, that may be another issue...though the body will be off then as well so that is a bonus. When reassembling the engine to the transmission, with the torque converter attached to the crank, is it much of a problem to get the spline lined up with the torque converter? I guess you could just 'fiddle' with the drive shaft end of the transmission to get it to line up. So, thanks again for your help!
