The subject car was registered, and presumably DRIVEN, over the many-years. Black plates, on "our" cars, are kinda like virginity--once they're gone (thru abandonment, non-registration, for over 4-years, or total-loss, or surrender/newer-plate /different-state issuance)--you CAN'T get-it back. AND there is a cachet involved in the very simple/plain format, of the plates--three simple numbers & letters--nuthin cute or fancy, just the Real-Deal.
