Neil, I was born and raised in NYState. My cousins lived in CA. WHen CA license plates were yello-on-black, NY were black on yellow. Then the two states switched color schemes. Then NY went to blue and gold and CA was gold and blue...I dont recollect either the order of events nor the dates, just how it seems to me it went... rogerH ----- Original Message ----- From: "eastern sierra Adj Services" <esierraadj@xxxxxxxxx> To: <L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, November 14, 2003 11:05 PM Subject: [FWDLK] California Dreamin > Roger, i didn't say that there were a lot of "choices" in license > plates, prior to 1963, but, that there were a lot of different STYLE(s) > of license plates, up to 1963--course, that was before I was born (or, @ > least 'moved' here, complements of the "Nav"). > I think I just figgered out why the yellow-on-black color scheme was > selected: they were the same colors are the predecessing 1956-1962 > plates, but in 'reverse- > order'! > > Neil > > -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- > Over 25,000 pages of archived Forward Look information can be easily searched at > http://www.forwardlook.net/search.htm Powered by Google! -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Over 25,000 pages of archived Forward Look information can be easily searched at http://www.forwardlook.net/search.htm Powered by Google!
