I don't think Nathan was being a purist; just a
comment that a dead 413 isn't worth much. Very limited piston
selection (unless you want 8:1 CR) and you still have almost 30 inches less
than a 440. Not that I would refuse to run one,
though!

Nathan, You don't know anybody looking for a 413
(in any condition at all)? You have to start going out more
often.!!!! Any mopar B engine is desirable today except by the minority
group called "Purist" who build the cars for others to enjoy and inspect.
The rest of us are having too much fun driving them before we die and
some guy with money buy the car at a fair price and pounds it into the
ground while having the fun the purist should have had. Now I could be
wrong,------------but I don't think so-----------you see I use to be an
extreme purist. Since I change from a purist I, AM HAVING A
BALL WITH MY CARS. THEY ARE FOR ME-----I, AM NOT SAVING THEM FOR SOMEONE
ELSE TO
ENJOY.!!!!!!!
