Dear Fins 59, That article in Motor Trent 1958 was written almost 50 years ago. The rubber seal manufactures have made a lot of progress since then. The percentage of people with doors ajar over the winter months is less than 1% also life was easier in 1958 when the article was written and they did not have as much to worry about back then. If you do decide to let your doors ajar to preserve the seals remember the trunk lid needs to be ajar also!!!!!! I personally would worry more about the flat spot on the nylon tires that are sitting for month after month in one spot? Ron |
