The 1962-71 Acadian was based on the Chevy II / Nova for Canadian Pontiac dealers. It was sold as the Acadian, not Pontiac Acadian, and was replaced by the Ventura II when that model was introduced in mid-1971. It is not that rare a vehicle. Pontiac dealers also sold the Beaumont from 1964 to 1969. It was based on the Chevelle as the Tempest was imported and too expensive prior to the Autopact agreement.
