Wow, Tony, thank you so much for posting that! I
went to the crossram site, and I am so jazzed -- there are so many pictures of
60 Chryslers getting all kinds of improvements.
Do you know if the stainlesssteelbrakes is better
than the AAJ conversion?
Thanks so much,

Hi Dave,
Checked with Stainless Steel
Brakes and they do not do a front disc conversion for your Imperial. I had my
1960 Chrysler converted with their kit.
SS Brakes offers a dual master
cylinder for Mopars: http://www.stainlesssteelbrakes.com/contact/
See
the clearance problem that we had in the MC conversion of my 1960 Chrysler
300-F. I have to use a long wire tie to attach the
cover: http://www.crossrams.com/rinaldi/discbrake/two/mastercyl.html
One
of the options that was available for my car was to use a 1972 Imperial set
up. This can be viewed
at: http://www.crossrams.com/imperialswap/swap1.html
Not sure if
this set up will fit a 1960 Imperial. Maybe some of our more knowledgeable
members can help.
There are some other discussions re master cylinders
on the same web site. Also
see:

Good
luck in your search to replace your ?Totally Incontinent Brakes?.

[FWDLK] brake kits
The thought of up-grading brakes
seems to be on my mind. Last year I had new wheel cyls & shoes for my 60
Imp. Earlier this year I had too replace the master cyl as well, & after
all this work I am still not satisfied with the performance of the rebuilt
brakes. I am seriously considering retro-fitting the car with - 1. duel
master cyl 2. front disc's 3. if possible rear
disc's. 1&2 should not be a problem, but what will fit the rear axle
disc brake wise????.Any impute would be appreciated. Regards Dave 60
