[FWDLK] Sono 4-x muffler orientation

I would appreciate it if someone who knows which inlet/outlet, on the original Sono 4-x mufflers,goes toward the engine and which is to the tailpipe would let us know.  I have a new set of mufflers and of course one inlet is in the center and one is near the side. Using my models for reference, the Franklin has Sono's and the inlet is in the center and the outlet is outboard in the rear.  The Danbury58 Fury has a generic muffler with the same orientation.  The Service manual shows the inlet for dual exhaust inboard with the center exit to the rear.  The mufflers have no designation on them.     
Could be a problem if the exhaust pipe isn't located correctly.
