Re: The demise of the dinosaurs, and the Forwardlookers, are similar in that they both could not "adapt" to their environments. The latter looked, and performed, fantastic(ally), but had inherently fatal-flaws, which almost led to their extinction. The cars' "deaths" were the result of intrinsic CORPORATE (i.e. : profitability) mandates, & the public's acceptance, of annualized "Planned Obsolescence" (where each new-year's offerings were "better" than the previous years, 'requiring' the purchase of the 'New-Thing') , PLUS inherently- poor construction materials, and/or effectation, so that the bodies wore-out , and rusted-out, quickly, and the interior fabrics self-destructed, so that an owner "had-to" ( and could AFFORD TO, back-then) buy a(nother) new car, on a regular-basis! A brilliant corporate business-model. "We" all, are , really, analogous to people trying to 'Save the Wild Animals', in their natural environment. Tigers & gorillas, and Forwardlookers, may no longer be 'necessary' to their environments , but isn't it nice to know that they're still "out-there" , somewhere?
