[FWDLK] "My eBay"

In "My Favorites" page for "My eBay", I have defined favorite searches, with
a checkbox checked to notify me when new items appear in that search.  I
receive these once a day...

On this same page, you have the option to "Search Now".  When I do this
search manually, to my surprise I find auctions that I was never notified
about, some that are several days old.  Has anyone else had this experience?
Is the automatic notification something that just can't be relied upon, or
am I missing something?
