The 1960 Dodge Dart was built before Chrysler started using letters to identify their car bodies. But it is the predecessor of the C-body, a designation that came with the new body for the 1965 Fury, Polara, Custom 880, Monaco and Chrysler. Letters first appeared with the 1962 B body (Dart, Polara and Plymouth), followed by the A body in 1963 (Valiant and Dart). The body-and frame Imperial became the D body.
