Ed, The cast iron TorqueFlight bears no resemblance to the aluminum TorqueFlights. And I think you have a screen instead of a filter. If you take the pan off to clean it, you might want to put in a transmission magnet that will collect any iron particles that are generated later. In my 56, the pan and torque converter have drain plugs.
