Fury 109, If the fuel supply is slow from a weak fuel pump or dirty fuel filter, the engine does not like to run with a lot of throttle. A lot of throttle needs a lot of fuel. You didn't mention what year car you are having trouble with. Assuming it is a pre-computer car, I would suspect the ignition system. Check the dwell first, and if it is good, then my next guess would be the ignition coil. Teach the engine dummy.. please. My Buick is ailing. Not on topic, but I have to have help because I have NO money. I was driving along tonight and the engine started chopping badly. Power cut out, brakes went out (They don't work unless the engine is runnin ) The engine sputtered and died. I can start it after a few minutes of cranking. To keep it running, I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running. If I let off, it dies. Fuel filter possibly? -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- 2003 Calendar voting results and ordering information is online!
