Tim, I have a spin-on oil filter adapter on my 56 Dodge. This is the same design as used on Chrysler and DeSoto also. I am real happy with this adapter on my car. Contact: Kent Redd (417) 467-2256 Route 1, Box 62 Pleasant Hope, MO 65725 Kent's adapter is similar to the one I sell for 50's GM cars. You can see photos of mine on my web site at: http://webpages.charter.net/dhomstad/ I also list sources for adapters for applications other than the one I sell, including Mopar A series engines (277, 301, 318, 326), at: http://webpages.charter.net/dhomstad/OtherFrame1Source1.htm Dave Homstad 56 Dodge D500 -----Original Message----- From: Forward Look Mopar Discussion List [mailto:L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Timothy A Koah Sent: Tuesday, December 03, 2002 11:56 AM To: L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [FWDLK] Oil adapter... Greetings! Is it possible to replace the canister oil filter system on my 55 Chrysler to the present screw on type...and if so, where does one found this contraption? Also, has any one had neg or pos comments about having the engine flushed with the new engine flushing process. Any advice on said items above is greatly appreciated.
