is the engine in the car or on a
stand?
If still in the car it would have been better to
loosen before you removed the belts.
You can also use an impact gun, or get a piston
stop. piston stops screw into the spark plug hole and prevent the piston from
moving to top dead center.
if the car is on a stand put a pry bar into the
flex plate and place it against the stand to prevent the crank from
moving.
obviously the easiest way is an impact
wrench

Subject: [FWDLK] harmonic balancer
Hello list:
I am attempting to remove the harmonic balancer from my 58 318.
Every time I give the ratchet a heave the crank turns over.
How do I remove this nut??
Thanks all in advance
