Of course the obvious thing is to first be sure by pulling the drums that you still have adequate linings on your shoes and if you have riveted linings that the linings aren't down to the rivets. That being the case, the most common cause of squeaking is a build up of brake dust. Use a modern brake cleaner to get rid of any accumulation. Most of our cars came with springs wrapped around the outside of the drums to take a possible harmonics squeak out of them. Many of these springs rusted and fell off. Although, the composition of modern lining material is not likely to squeak since your shoes have been replaced in the last 20 years.
