To answer (the big question all us Mopar people get) what does Mopar mean.
This is taken from Mopars Magazine sent to anyone who buys a NEW
Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep.
Mopar became the official parts division for Chrysler in 1937. Chrysler's
sales production manager, Nelson Farley was contemplating the future of the
company's parts division. He formed a group called "Activities Council" to
brain storm new merchandising ideas. Several names were drawn up for the
new antifreeze products that was being used in the new vehicles. One name
on the list that caught Farley's eye was simple to remember. It was the
combination of two words, MOtor PARts. This the birth of MoPar.
Hope you enjoy this bit of history from Mopar. :)
