Good point. I'd guess the car was not converted to Hemi power until the car was several years old. Speaking of Hemi powered 57 Plymouths, I've been waiting for someone to mention that Tom Hoover (Chrysler engineer and probably a charter member of trhe Ramchargers) dropped a 392 Hemi into a 57 Plymouth 2 door hardtop somewhere around 1959. Motor had two fours on a weird offset ram intake. Air cleaner had a 300E decal. Wonder what happened to this car? ----- Original Message ----- From: "eastern sierra Adj Services" <esierraadj@xxxxxxxxx> To: <L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, June 07, 2002 2:27 AM Subject: Re: [FWDLK] 57 Belvedere Hemi Commando? > I have been waiting for someone to mention the obvious: in the late 50's > , hemispherical combustion chambers were a FEATURE of MoPar engines, and > NOT a 'name' ("Hemi") , until 1964! > > Goodnite, > > Neil Vedder > 57 D500 > > -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- > Need an answer fast?
