Hmmm...., if *I* had a junqueyard full of "rare" cars, I might be tempted to pull the VIN tags myself and keep them in a safe (or at least in my desk drawer). If any of those rare cars would happen to be worth restoring, they would probably be worth a few more $$ *with* their VIN tags than without them. Just a thought.
