Hi All, I put the new valve body in the DeSoto tonight, and it's now working just fine. It looks like the little piston in there on the old one was stuck tight, and refused to move at all. I popped it out and the whole assembly is now getting cleaned up, as I will be swapping my spare unit into my 1958 Plymouth. Adjustment was easy, although a little time consuming. Y'all weren't kidding when you talked about tiny adjustments. I had to tap that body back and forth about 50 times to get it lined up just right, but I finally succeeded! Thanks again to everyone for your help. All I have to do now is replace the fuel sender, get a front end alignment, hook up the vacuum hoses for the brakes, and connect the brake lite switch and I'm ready to go for a ride. By the way... Found a nice thing. The 1960 Imperial used the same brake pedal assembly as earlier years/makes, but had a nifty bracket with a mechanical switch mounted in it. It's a MoPar part... even had the part number painted on it. I'll be making a template for anyone who is interested in duplicating one. Just the ticket with everyone converting to the AAJ discs these days! -Dave -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Calendars are still available. Don't miss the chance to get yours now!
