Hello Nick, I would rebuild the carb. But first of all, after I cleaned out the tank, I would run a couple of gallons of gas with a fuel system cleaner mixed in it. I would mix it rich. This will help clean all the fuel lines that also have the same gunk in them. You never know, you might get lucky and not have to rebuild the carb, but I doubt it. If it's set outside, it's probably drawed moisture, and on old cast iron, or pot metal carbs, that means RUST to go with the varnish and gum. The rubber on the old accelerator pumps do dry rot!! Before you go to the trouble, get the number off of the old carb to see if you can get a kit. Someone will make one but the delay might set you back awhile. A good carb cleaner: BERRYMAN 12 CHEM DIP.
