For newer cars I feel that the appraisals seem to be fairly accurate,
althought it seems when I am selling a car they are higher than what i am
able to get for it. Twice in the last year the appriisals were within
$300- $500 (of a $5000 car.) of an insurance company settlement of a total
loss on one of my cars
SO I guess that are pretty close.
