[FWDLK] Painting the trans

Howdy folks.
The motor and trans (powerflite) are out of my 56 Savoy. I'm painting the
engine and doing all the seals. What should I do with the trans.
a)just clean it
b) clean it and paint it. If I paint it, what color is it supposed to be. Is
it supposed to be the same color silver as the engine ?

I'm still debating about the intake exhaust manifold. Whether I should paint
it silver (I think it was that way from the factory) or do it in manifold
gray.
