Re: [FWDLK] Sandblasting - Tool suggestions wanted.

If you are going to do sandblasting you will need a good supply of steady
pressure. I would think at least a 60 Gallon Tank would be needed. I have
a sandblaster setup but have not used it yet. Look for something like a 5HP
motor. I have a Craftsman 6HP oilless with a 60 gallon tank and it is the
best tool I ever bought. I had borrowed a friends craftsman with a 20 gal
tank and it worked very well with ann airratched but I do not think it has
the capacity for tools that use a lot of air. Even my 60 gallon sometimes
has a hard time keeping up with my Dual Action sander.

I am interested in getting a compressor so I can start sandblasting. What
sort of output should I seek? What are some do's and don'ts? What is a
economical, yet efficient setup for a shade tree mechanic?

Thanks for any tips.

James
