Dave, Indeed, I can provide you with some background on the '59 Seville. For 1959, Seville was a Spring Special package offered by DeSoto on hardtops in the Firesweep and Firedome car lines. The Seville package featured Bradenton Blue or Pearl White paint, or any combination of the two (eight variations). Also in the package were Nassau Plaid upholstery, padded dash, special steering wheel, Seville nameplates, and color sweep moulding. 1959 Seville's in good condition appear to be rare. I would love to have pictures of your new acquisition. DeSoto used the Seville name earlier to distinguish lower-priced hardtops in the 1956 Firedome line. By the way, I hope you'll join DeSotoland. We have 225 members online, all very chatty and interested in DeSoto. Of course, this effort is not associated with the National DeSoto Club. Come along to http://www.desotoland.com and sign up for the DeSpatch. Can't wait to read more about your new DeSoto!
