Bigger is better! BUT But but be sure it does fit your bolts and wheels etc. Have found a lot of smaller pounds with the short sledge hammer seem to work better than trying to use a king kong sledge. AND suggest you remove the axle end casetllated nut, which has to be done anyway, but REINSTALL is backwards, but only so far so it is flush with end of axle. This will keep you from messing up the threads by any means- misstriking and hitting axle end, also from the pressure of the puller point from deforming the end of the axle (remember the axle end is weakened by the cotter pin hole), etc. and finally it will keep the tendancy for the drum to really pop off and dent your tool box. Once it pops then remove the nut.... You may be suprised it removes a bit more difficult than when you put it on backwards. LARS In scenic West Michigan USA |
