Hello everyone, Just an update on Jason's blown 277 in his 56 Belvedere - We tried getting the engine from our second car to turn. It's frozen up. I have pulled the plugs and filled it with penitrating oil. We'll go back next weekend to see if we can get it to move a little. We'll try a breaker bar and pipe on the bolt at the front of the crank to see if that works. I'm not overly optimistic, but you never know. I also need to fill it up with water and see if it holds or if the block is cracked from the freezing Chicago winters. Interestingly, the plugss looked good and the oil was clean. Like I said, it was suposedly running 5 years ago, then sat 3 years in Texas and 2 years here in Chicago with nothing being done to it. Anyway, this is our first option. Our second option is to find another 277 that runs to replace our blown one. We have two possibles (both from list members) but we're looking into more options before we decide. If any of you belong to (or have a contact on) another list, would you mind putting out a query to see if anyone has a functional 277 for sale? Jason and I would really appreciate your help. Just have them email me directly at: joefrega@xxxxxxxxx Thanks again. Joe and Jason 56 Belvedere(s)?????? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
