I woould just like to say that for 18 years, I have
searched for this machine that was used in the 50s. I knew it had to be
out there somewhere and Im thrilled that someone found it. I have spend endless
hours on phone calls trying to locate the company that stamped out this
alluminum and I did so with no luck. So, I would just like to say Im
thrilled if and when this comes to life. But I would also like to comment
on the ad on the for sale list about this product. I quote " this is
the real thing and not the junk that Mopar Mels sells" end of
quote.... When there was nothing, I located a company that made the
alluminum that was the exact thickness, color, texture, and pattern as the
origional.. only problem was I could only get it in 8'' wide by 8' long which
ment you had to splice it as it went up the quarter. If this splice was
done correctly, you couldnt see it at all. Not at all !!!!!
Evidently there is at least one person who did not do it
right......... I have done to date 62-- 1958 plymouths and most have
this alluminum on them either I have installed or someone else has done
it. When there was nothing else out there, it was good enough. I
would just like to end by saying Im on this list to learn, share, help, to be
helped, to recieve and give advice and to talk with other people who sincerly
love these cars. I would hope that in the future that comments as such
that were made about my product or anyone elses product would not be
tollerated on this list!!!!!
to me it says," Im an idiot and this is the only
way I can get peoples attention". Its a great clean list of many good
people, lets not let a few spoil it for the rest because if comments like this
are tollerated to a small degree, they will only get
larger..............
thanks guys
