FWDLK list members - The Walter P. Chrysler Museum just opened a special one-of-a-kind Motorsports exhibit which will run until March 31st. Cars on display include the following: '52 Hudson Hornet driven by two time Grand National Champion Herb Thomas '56 Chrysler 300B driven by Buck Baker '74 Dodge Charger Richard Petty used to win the Grand National Championship These cars in addition to others are all originals - no replicas and are coming from private collections as well as from Chrysler. Vehicles from the many venues of racing are exhibited. A special focus will be on Chrysler's important lead in racing starting with the company's first NASCAR victory in '49 with Lee Petty's winning Plymouth following to the advent of the new Chrysler Hemi racing engine and its dominance beginning with its introduction at the '64 Daytona 500.
