Actually, I seem to remember such a rumor for a sequel circa 1986. I even
remember one guy in a car magazine (don't know which one but I'm pretty sure
I still have it) saying that he saw a truck loaded with '58 Plymouth 2-dr
hardtops driving to an unknown location and talking about the sequel.

Now, I understand this is spooky stuff, but who would have cared for so many
'58 Plymouth 2-dr hardtops circa 1986 ?

PS : I was right, Brian, it was $1958 for the Silver special (I checked it),
but I agree with you this is was a childish argument ...

I read somewhere after the movie was released that a sequel was planned, but
then canceled for unknown reasons. can anyone confirm this. ?
