Checked the 1959 parts book, and all Dodge Coronet, Royal and Custom Royal models shared the same deck lid. And that holds true regardless of model - 2 door sedan, 4 door sedan, 2 door hardtop, 4 door hardtop or convertible - they are all the same - part # 1758 704. By the way, in 1959 all DeSoto and Chrysler models used the same trunk lid - part # 1758 489. Thus the Firesweep and Windsor used the same lid as the longer Saratoga, New Yorker, Firedome and Fireflite. Which leads to the conclusion that the Firesweep used the same rear fenders as the Firedome and Fireflite. I do not see why they would be of a different size as the bodies are the same - only the two door hardtop rooflines differed between the series. The differences in quarter panels would be in the position, and number, of holes needed for the side trim. In checking the parts book, no differences are shown between series for the quarter panels - only between makes and body styles. Bill W > > I have '59 Coronet Lancer (hardtop) 4 door.
