Forward Lookers, I am preparing to have my interior seats reupholstered and I am currently cleaning up the existing vinyl on the seat (it is in good condition and will be saved with new fabric sewn in). I have a couple of questions of the group. 1) The seats clean up nice however, there is some stains here and there that I would like to try to remove. Can anyone recommend a good spot remover to get at these? 2) I have started to clean up the door panels as well. They cleaned up real nice but they look a little dried out (especially the black). Can anyone recommend a son-of-a gun like product to use. I have heard that I should NOT use the son-of-a-gun product because it will dry the vinyl out over time. Can anyone recommend a product to use on the seat vinyl as well? 3) When I put down carpet (I have a brand new loop pile pre-cut set), what do I use to secure the carpet from moving? Is the back seat and threshold plates enough to hold it in place? Thanks in advance for your time to read this and any suggestions that you may have. Greg 1956 Dodge Royal Lancer. |
