Dear FWDLKer's My daily driver '64 Belvedere (please excuse the year) had a noise that lead me to believe I had a bad bearing, took it to a local shop (greasy, very dark, very neat, charges by the job, not hourly!)......they get the drum off and it has been rotating on the axle, wearing the key, apparently the hub is worn and goes on the taper too far (edges of shoes showing a little wear from the drum being too far on..) 1) Any fix for this other than a new drum? 2) Also, who makes the outer grease seal, shop tells me they are no longer available. 3) Just to check, is the washer behind the nut supposed to be just a normal flat washer???
