You are right its a Kelsey/Hayes diaphragm power booster unit it was build in from end 1954 to early 1956. I believe end 1954 it was placed under the car beside the chassis, and later under the hood on its usual place ,like in our car. >From 1956 my manual says its a Kelsey/Hayes Bellows Type, Greetings Dirk. -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: Forward Look Mopar Discussion List [mailto:L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]Namens LARSPAINTR@xxxxxxx Verzonden: donderdag 13 april 2000 14:28 Aan: L-FORWARDLOOK@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Onderwerp: [FWDLK] early Mopar power brakes Dont the 55-56 pb units have a unique system? Since mine is non power, really dont know. BUt if it IS unique, one better be sure they R getting a good unit..... NOW There is a way if U R not into strictly stock, to use a Toyota power brake unit along with a dual master cyl, was in motor trend or C & P some time ago. If I get enuf requests, I could xerox it or maybe type it out and put it on list. Think there was only one photo... Lars
