Model / toy car collectors:
The 1/43rd scale white metal toy model of the 1957 Chrysler 300C
by Ertl is actually available in THREE colors: red, black and
green. This is in Ertl's "American Muscle" series for kids 8
years and up (includes me at 52!).
I purchased a black from www.tommystoys.com.
I ordered a red as shown at the www.etoys.com web site and they
sent a black one. No color option was shown. I called and they
said they would send the red one. They sent ANOTHER black one.
I called again today and they said they would definitely get it
right and send a red one this time. I asked what if they don't.
They said I could keep all three and they would issue a refund!
What a way to run a business! We'll see how they do!
In speaking with their representative, he said they previously
had a green one but it is out of stock currently.
The item number on the black model is 1013365. The green is
1014452. He did not give the red #.
If you are reading this, please do not e-mail me with questions
about the AMT / Ertl 1/25 scale PLASTIC model of the 300C which
comes ONLY in gray plastic. That is NOT what I'm writing about.
