I've beat out the dents and have polished out 9 wheel covers. I've ended
up with 4 that are good enough to put right on but the others need repainted
black between the 3/8" ribs. The original paint is very tough and was
applied without any primer right onto the stainless. What works well applied to
chrome and stainless? Any tips on prep etc. Scuffing up the surface doesn't seem
practical on the chrome fender trim parts that also have some black
accents.

I've just about learned to polish
stainless
after 9 covers and 30-40 hours of redoing,
because the 2nd. was better than the
1st.
and the 7th was better than the 6th
etc.
