[FWDLK] electronic rust control

Does anyone have any experience with "electronic rust control"? I've seen
it advertised in several places, and the theory makes sense (but does it
work in real life). This is where a bolt-on device acting as a cathode (I
think) sacrifices itself rather than let rust develop somewhere else. I
know ships use cathodic rust protection, and underground pipelines do, but
I've never known anyone to try this on a car. Supposedly one of the
advantages is that it can be moved from car to car. I'll listen to all
feedback before deciding on this. Thanks.

Ed
