Dear Roger,
You are right about the California situation in regards to MTBE, but do
you also know that there is a bill pending to ban that miserable garbage
nationwide. The bill number is HR-1750 (it's a House, meaning
Congressional bill). The bill's sponsor is Congressman Frank Pallone,
Jr., from NJ's 6th Congressional District. His bill, unlike any of the
others pending, bans MTBE, and its substitutes completely. So, if you
haven't yet done so, write your own Congressperson, and ask them to
support passage of HR-1750.
