Re: [FWDLK] Hershey

Phil Patterson writes: A Locomobile may not be a Mopar, but it figures very
heavily in Chrysler history. Walter P. Chrysler's first car was a 1905
Locomobile that cost him $5000. BIG money in 1905. First thing he did when
he got it home, was take it apart and put it together many times before he
ever used it regularly.
http://www.pathfinder.com/time/special/moy/moypast.html contains many
facts about Walter's early history and it is an interesting site. If not for
Locomobile, good old Walter P. may have just stuck with trains and there
never would have been any Mopars at all! And that is a dreary thought. Any
Mopar show judge who objects to a Locomobile being there, just doesn't know
his Chrysler Corporation history. P.S, Many well wishs for the folks
suffering with Hurricane Floyd on the east coast. Let's just pray that ol'
Floyd heads out to sea.
