All I can say is WOW, what a huge party, I don't think most of the people even sleep. It's non stop with activities from 9am till 1am when the 58 oldsmobile with the juke box starts up and keeps playing all night long. It's a non judged event, it's really a 50's party. There were about 1600 cars. With bands most of the day, dance lessons, acapella concerts, nightly bigger name concerts, drive in movie and cruising anytime you want thru the parking lots. Between dropping off my dog and going back and forth to the event, I put 480 miles on my 56 Plymouth this weekend and man it was fun. The forward looks were fairly well represented. John Paxos fury was there and it was sweet. I didn't get a long time to talk to hm as I finally got to see him when I was on the way out in the rain. I saw a 58 Plymouth red with shave door handles and lots of white scallops. it had a v8 that sounded nice. I parked next to a 56 dodge wagon. There were a cuple of other fury's, Frankenfin, the 56 Belvidere made into a pickup truck. I finally got pics and I'll be sending them to the original people that requested to see it. There was another 56 Plymouth with shaved door handles, no emblems and I know it was not the stock drive train because he wanted to sell me the original last year. you could buy the 56 for a measley $12,500.00 (not a typo) I was really suprised how many people made coments to me about my plymouth. Most people don't even know what they were. But the best compliment was as I was crusing thru the lot on my last pass saturday night and an Elvis Impersonator guy sticks his head in my window and says. "glad to see something besides a chevy" It was an awesome party and I encourage anyone near by to go next year. It's held every labor day weekend in Parsippany NJ.
