Maybe it was a government safety standard, the PRND21 was more standard than some 1964 GM's PND21R or Ford's drive and safety ranges. BUT with Elwood Engel coming from Ford to design the '65's and the push to sell the competition's customers, it could have been more of a marketing ploy. '65 full-size MoPars were a LOT more like GM cars than prior. Does anyone on the list have 1st hand inside info. on the pushbutton demise? |
