Hi Todd, I had to replace the parts on my drive shaft on my 55 Plymouth. I took it off the car and had my friend with a press press out the pins. They came out verry hard. I then taped off the ends of the drive shaft where the pins go and the ball on the end of the shaft. I then sand blasted the drive shaft and painted it Rustolium Gloss Black with a brush. It turned out just right with no brush marks and no runs. I then went back to my friend and with rags protecting the paint job, we pressed the pins back in. The pins have to be evenly spaced on each side or the shaft will be out of balance. Check with a shop manuel for the tolerance allowed. The rubber boot can be put on before the pin but it is hard to squeese the trunion and boot all together. The manuel shows the boot being put on after the pin and going thru the trunion hole along side th drive shaft which is quite hard. WHAT EVER YOU DO PUT THE TRUNION ON BEFORE YOU PUT THE NEW PIN IN!!!!!Hope this helps Double check the service manuel. That and the parts manuel for our cars are a most valuable part of restoration. Hope this helps Jack Johnson 55 Plymouth Belvedere 2 Dr Cl Cp _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
