A few years ago, Chrysler got their collective undies in a knot about the use of their trademarks, including the names of all their cars, any of their logos (including the Forward Look emblem), or the use of the word MOPAR. They went after commercial businesses, such as Martin Kolner's Arizona Mopar (now known as Arizona Parts) or Andy Birnbaum's Auto Parts business because he was using some of the logos. Even the clubs, such as the Desoto Club or the WPC club, had to license the use of the names. Bad Public Relations move !! They may have relaxed the rules a bit, because I see the Desoto Club selling stuff in their club store that uses the Chrysler logos. You might contact them to find out what Chrysler's stand is these days. I'd hate to see you go through all the trouble only to find a pin-striped suit showing up at your door with a 'Cease and Desist' order. |
