Dont recall any answers to that question, they are anti squeak springs. Believe they were first used in 55 but not sure, maybe 57. They were available as a later addon to other mopars to eliminate squeaking. There was/is also a system of spring steel wedges that will tighten those springs if they lose tension- so says my Raybestos brake manual of 1965. Lars |
