I was born just when DeSoto died...May, 61.  So, I've never been in a
position to visit a DeSoto showroom    :)

I think the Forward Look DeSotos are neat cars, a little too wild for my
tastes though.  I think the division suffered the same fate as Edsel, being
too flamboyant at a time of recession and changing tastes.  From the history
I've read on the subject.

In general, DeSotos have always been an object of scorn among the guys I
hang out with..until recently.
