Dont know how bad your steering wheel is but they can be patched....
A couple articles in mags over last couplea years.
I have not tried it but may with my (new) 41...
I did get a NORS wheel several years ago for my 56 and it was wrong color-
grey neded to be ivory
Simply sprayed it with the same buff color epoxy enamel from a spray can
that I used on the dash that matched original perfectly.
Note the original was also painted.
Obviously cant do if U have a big buck transluscent metallic wheel.
Maybe worth a try, price is right?
