Howdy all- Several of U have posted locations of scrapyards having older moparz- so when U are browsing out there and come across a 56 Plymouth sport suburban (4 door wagon with roof rack) with those 7" long stainless trim pieces on the tailgate, see of U can get several off if they are not completely messed up. They are sort of a "C" shape, just about the size your thumb and index finger make if trying to form that letter with your hand. Trubble is most are badly dinged due to tailgate being sat on and/or bumper misaligned- causing bumper to crease the trim pieces, usually quite badly. I have restored perhaps 6 of them and it was a (^&^(&(*&(()&*Q@#$*( to do it. Still need 2 more but I dont want to spend 3 hours each dinging and filing and dye marking and filing and buffing and on and on..... Thanx for any help Lars |
