i don't know much about desotos (or autos in general for that matter), but i saw this car whilst visiting Santa Monica, CA last week. i totally dig it. unfortunately i don't have $5000 (and i live in Boston, MA which has a host of issues). it needs a paint job, has a few small dents but other than that it's in pretty good shape, IMHO. i talked to the guy today and thought maybe someone else would want it (or buy it for me!). idunno. i don't have any affiliation with this guy...just sharing info. here is what he told me about it: 1955 Desosto Coronado four door...1 of 487 built. [special three tone paint California edition (aquagreen/black/white)] Restored Interior by SMS (?in Oregon or Washington state) 291 Hemmi Rebuilt with 2000 miles on it (cost of rebuild was $5500 apparently) total mileage 63,000 he is the third owner, he's had it for 14 or 16 years new brakes ($1200 spent on this) 5000 miles on the new (or rebuilt?) transmission comes with an extra grill too asking $5000 he says he has four cars and only room to park three since his recent move to Venice, CA. if you are in the LA area and want to check it out, he parks it near the restaurant "Van Gogh's Ear". give him a call if you are interested: Rene @ 1.310.664.9815 . . . - . . . glenn.a.lagasse: : : : : : : : : : :boy@xxxxxxxxxxxx . . . . . . . . . . . . .1956.Plymouth.Belvedere.4-door.Hardtop.Sport.Sedan.
